Fair Garments Certified (FGC) is a mock certification that I created as a university graphic design project. The concept is based on the idea that the fashion industry has many issues with ethics and sustainability, and does not currently have a large scale system to tackle all of the issues at once.
The food industry has organisations such as 'Fair Trade' and 'Certified Organic,' which allow products which meet certain elected standards to display the logo of Fair Trade, for instance. While the clothing industry has an organic cotton logo, there is no certification that goes much further into the deeper issues that desperately need addressing, such as worker exploitation, water consumption, pollution and textile waste.
Fair Garments Certified would be a logo on a garment's tag which certifies that the garment meets standards in all areas.

The concept for FGC came from research that I conducted for a media assignment I based on sustainable and ethical fashion. Read the essay:
Sustainability in the Fashion Industry

I designed all graphic elements, and although I have some doubts about my typeface choices in hindsight, I am still quite proud of the overall result.

Started in the early weeks of my first week at Uni, my channel grew from an assignment into a little hobby. I haven't made any videos for a few years, but I hope to get back into the swing of it soon.
