From September 2019 to February 2020, I interned at GQ Magazine with Fashion Director Petta Chua and Fashion Assistant Harriet Crawford, where I had the privilege of meeting so many incredible people, from celebrity talent to so many cool people within the industry, and working with other interns and making lasting friendships.
After gaining experience in this role, I got to do more important and exciting tasks, and have even been personal fashion assistant to Petta on her freelance styling work.
A highlight of my time with GQ was assisting with dressing celebrity talent for the GQ Men of the Year Awards night, where I met so many celebs, the super cool model Alton Mason, and even Baz Luhrman.

Shirt by Dolce & Gabbana / Knit and Pants by Stella McCartney
Jacket by Dries Van Noten

Knit and Jeans by SR Studios
In December I assisted on the Kevin Parker shoot for the Jan/Feb music issue. This shoot was super fun with some interesting pieces. I'm a fan of the SR Studios paint splatter pants pictured left, and the Stella McCartney Knit for the seated shot above. Styling was by Petta Chua and photography by James Robinson

Dominic Fike
Suit and Sandals by Off White
The Dominic Fike Shoot was the first shoot that I assisted at GQ, and is still one of my favourites. Shot for the Jan/Feb issue with styling by Petta Chua and photography by James Tolich.
I love the light hearted, colourful theme of the shoot, and some of the pieces still reside in the back of my mind as inspiration for possible future sewing projects.

Suit and Sandals by Off White

Full Heron Preston
Full Marni, boots by Feit
Full outfit by Eytys

This shoot had some truly beautiful pieces, Kit had a super friendly demeanour, which truly shines through in the photos. This was styled by Petta Chua, and photography by Jake Terry. The embezzled suit by Saint Laurent (bottom left) is spectacular, and the knit by Isabel Marant (top left) is truly gorgeous. The Stefan Cooke Jacket (top right) is fascinating in it's lacing, and the Dior shirt (bottom right) is a trendy but cool revival of the vintage monogram.

Dinosaur
Designs

This shoot with homewares and jewellery design studio, Dinosaur Designs was elegant and artistic, and quite different from most shoots I assisted. Styled by Petta Chua as a Freelance campaign job, photographed by Bart Celestino, and modelled by Adual Akol.
